I just realized that I haven’t written one of these in a very long time. I have about a million little images saved in Pinterest, but I have yet to write about any of them. I guess that happens a lot to me. I get really excited about things, but never finish them. #ForeverBlamingMyADD
So, for anyone who doesn’t know me very well, I love to travel. There is something so interesting about going to a different place in this big wide world and experiencing new things. I find other cultures, languages, and cuisines so fascinating. It makes me really wonder why people do certain things. I just like to wander and explore. I guess it is kind of my thing.
If I could spend every week of my life in a different city, in a different country, I would. There is so much to see in the world, and it makes me so sad that it is basically impossible for me to see every inch of this planet. So, that is why I am trying to waste less time having “lazy days” and more time exploring the world.
With college coming next year, and moving to yet another city, I am hoping that I will get to see more of the world. To help me achieve and keep up with this hope, I am going to make a promise to myself that in my next four years in college, I will visit each of the 100 counties in North Carolina. I think it is a realistic goal considering that I will be in the middle of the state, and I think that four years is long enough to make this goal possible. So there. I am making the next four years of my life more “adventurous days” right now. I am committing myself to adventure. Gah, I’m sort of excited about this new idea! Who am I kidding, I’m freaking ecstatic!
I hope that each and every one of you commit to living adventurous lives. Whether the adventure takes you to a new country, to a new restaurant, or on a hike on a different trail. Everyone’s capability for adventure differ, but we all need to try new things. It makes life interesting! So, that is my challenge for you. Have fun with the rest of you life. Do things you would never do (obviously, be a bit wise about it), and go places you would never imagine going. I bet that you won’t regret it.
